Introduction to Issue THREE
A Note from the Editors
We have found the winter months to be a time of incubation. As the cold forms new hard layers, underneath a network of nurturing grows. Like a seed, Issue Three is deeply rooted while bravely breaking soil.
All of the places our contributors have conjured—fields, houses, rivers, ruins—are layered deep as well, the past and present thick enough to sink with every step.
As you settle into this issue, we hope you will let the desire for stillness and movement guide you. We recommend lingering in the empty spaces where sound echoes the loudest.
